With events to raise money and awareness, we always need volunteers. Our volunteers are essential to the success of those events. We have multiple ways you can help throughout many different events.

Volunteer Duties Can Include: Greeting, serving guests at our fundraising banquet, registration tables, coordinate a baby shower are just some of the ways you can help serve at one of our events. If you're interested in volunteering at an event or would like more information, email us.

Church Liaison

Advocate for PPS in your church! Church liaisons are responsible for presenting PPS as a local mission opportunity, keeping your church community informed of ways to partner with us, and encouraging people to become involved in this ministry. You represent the direct line of communication from PPS to the local church body.

Next Steps: 1) Pray about the opportunity.
2) Meet with your pastor and share our mission of providing compassionate care for women unprepared for pregnancy. You will need his or her support to serve as a church liaison.

Prayer Partners

Prayer is critical to our ministry. Scripture says, "Do not be anxious for anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6-7). When we pray, God send peace. It is essential to have God's presence in the midst of our efforts.

When to Pray: When it best fits your schedule.

What to Pray for: You will receive a weekly email with requests and praise reports to guide you through your time of prayer.

Ongoing Opportunities

Baby Showers

This is a fun way to help support women who are facing an unexpected pregnancy. Plan a baby shower in your church or small group and invite friends and family, just like you would for your own baby shower. PPS can supply you with a list of needed items. We’ll come out and join everyone to receive the items on behalf of our clients. You can make it as fun and interactive as you like!

Baby Bottle Campaign

By filling a baby bottle with dollars and coins, not only are you a part of this organization, but you are helping to provide life-affirming services to young women and men who need prenatal and parenting services and resources. Your support will make an eternal impact.

Volunteer FAQ

Are there items you need on a regular basis?

Yes, we give each client who comes in for a pregnancy test a gift bag that has some little items in it just for her. We include things like journals, devotionals, pens, tissues, lip gloss, lotions, nail files, etc. We are always in need of these items as we give out anywhere from 40-60 gift bags a month. These are just another way we can let them know that we care about them. We’re always in need of diapers and wipes. Especially the larger sizes (3 - 6). Diapers and wipes go quickly as these are things our clients choose each time they come in. We also need infant clothing (newborn – 24 months) for both cold and winter months to go in our baby boutique. Lastly, we need car seats (new only) and pack & plays.

Can I schedule a tour of the center?

Absolutely! We love for friends of PPS to come tour the center. Just give us a call during business hours, and we will work with you to schedule a date and time for a tour.

How can we help support PPS?

We are solely funded by generous donations from individuals, churches, and various local organizations. Without this financial support we couldn’t do what we do every day. It takes $225 to serve one client and save one baby. That’s less than $20 per month. You can give a one-time gift or become a monthly partner by donating online or through the mail. We also need client advocate volunteers as we are looking to expand our hours as well as event volunteers for our yearly fundraising efforts. And spread the word…do you know of someone facing an unexpected pregnancy? Let them know we are here to help.

Do you have group service opportunities?

We respect the privacy of our clients, therefore, this is not something we can allow most days. However, there are a few times during the year where we need group help such as stuffing envelopes or goody bags. If this is something your church or group is interested in, give us a call for more details.
